    HISTORY
Barolo by TraditionIn Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo production area, from the 1950s the Monchiero family, thanks to the brothers Remo and Maggiorino, originally from La Morra, began to become winemakers. A story of sharecropping that has become a story of vineyards, from the sale of grapes to the production of wine, first in bulk and then bottled. We are in the 70s and two market lines are followed: Barolo for abroad (United States) and young wines in Italy.
In the 1980s Vittorio Monchiero, son of Maggiorino, specializes at the Alba Enological School and grows together with the company and the new land purchased by his father and uncle.
In the 90s Vittorio, married to Daniela, also takes care of the sales aspects and the name of the Monchiero Winery is present in fairs and tastings around the world.
Tradition and innovation come together, the vineyards are refurbished and production increases also thanks to the purchase of ed plots.
In 2017, the eldest son Luca joins the company while Stefano, the second son, is finishing his agricultural studies, to continue the family tradition: that of Barolo.
